This weekend, March 21-23, I’ll be returning the MegaCon in Orlando, FL, one of my favorite conventions in the country, run by some of my favorite people in the world. The guest list, led by Stan Lee, boasts a lot of my friends in the industry, including Dan Jurgens, Cully Hamner and Mike McKone, and a lot of my CrossGen buddies like Bart Sears, Jim Cheung, Chuck Dixon, Brandon Peterson, Mike Perkins, Greg Land, George Perez.

Here’s my updated, conformed convention schedule for this year, though there are still additional shows being discussed. Balancing working time and conventions is always a concern, but the boom in con business means more offers for visits to interesting shows and locations.

*April 6: Albany Toy Show. First time I’ve actually set up at the local toy show. My daughter will be with me, selling her cute clay sculptures (she’s a pretty damned good sculptor).

*April 25-27: C2E2 in Chicago, along with Athleta Comics, Israel Idonije and Bart Sears, as well as some surprise guests at the booth. Big things planned at Booth #607, including the debut of Protectors #1!

*May 3: Free Comic Book Day appearance, location to be announced soon … but I can tell you it’s somewhere in the wilds of New Jersey!

*May 9-11: WAP! Comic Con in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Trying out a new show in a beautiful location.

*May 16-17: Dallas Comic Con, in support of a charity comic I wrote (with Rick Leonardi on art) to benefit Pancreatic Cancer research. Please note: I will not be at the show Sunday, May 18.

*May 31-June 1: Hartford Comic Con, another new show for me, put on by friends of a friend.

*June 15: Albany Comic Con, my “hometown” show, with a special event at the Tri-City ValleyCats baseball game in Troy the night before. Great way to spend Father’s Day weekend.

*Sept. 5-7: Baltimore Comic Con, easily one of the best cons in the country, a purely comic-oriented event. The show is moving to three days for the first time.

*Sept. 26-28: Alamo City Comic Con, San Antonio, TX. This seems to be my year for visits to Texas.

*Nov. 7-9: La Mole Comic Con, Mexico City. I’ll be here with Stjepan Sejic, as well as a few other industry pals that are yet to be announced.

As always, at any of these shows I’ll have copies of the Ravine and Shinku TPBs with me, along with Ravine dragon prints and some other odds and ends. Hope to see you on the road.

Cheers,

Ron
